I had one of these on my last phone, a Droid X, and I liked it a lot; no complaints. This one doesn't seem to fit quite as well, but I believe that it just because of the design of the phone (the snap-on battery cover, more specifically). It takes some finesse and care to remove without tearing the battery cover off, but it's not hard. If you wanted a case that's quick and easy to remove, however, this might not be the one. For me, that wasn't really important, and it does exactly what I need it to do: protect my phone. This and a decent screen protector should keep this phone looking factory new until I'm ready to sell it and upgrade again.
Also, don't expect miracles on drop protection. Use common sense, treat your $400 phone like it's worth something, and that won't be an issue. It's been knocked off of tables onto hard floors at restaurants and bars, no problem. It gets knocked off my nightstand a few times a week when I try to snooze the alarm too, also not a problem. If you plan on using it as a hockey puck, or don't have thumbs, or you just like to destroy expensive stuff... you may want to get the (massive, ugly, and expensive) Otterbox Defender. TLDR: Good basic case. Not perfect. Would recommend to people who respect their stuff.
